Gerson Amimo who we interviewed in early 2020, has an inspiring story to tell of how he has been able to set up a public showers and latrines business in the Kibera slum and had benefited from one of our NC Kibera project's small business loans. Not only is he making a profit and providing a living for himself and his family, but he is also serving his local community by bringing much-needed sanitation to an area where there is none.
And he has a big vision for the future.
Since filming, Gerson has been employed as foreman and project manager for our NC Kibera Washrooms project. It's impossible to think of anyone more appropriate for the job.
Sub-titles are available for this video.
