Inspiring entrepreneurship

In 1999 we met a young 25 year old entrepreneur who had negotiated the use of a small piece of unused ground in the Kibera slum to build public showers and sell water. Since then Gerson Amimo has been a key part of our New Community washrooms project and, despite a pandemic, has also been able to continue to develop his own business. In September 2022 we caught up with him and were inspired not only by the progress he has made but also by the plans he has for the future.
