It may not look much, but building this caretaker’s house is the next significant step in our public washrooms project in Kibera, Kenya.
Having bought the land in November 2020, appointing a live-in caretaker will now help us keep the site secure until we are able to fund the construction of the building to house the latrines and showers. We welcome Washington, our first caretaker/occupant.
Our work now focuses on finding a builder who can we work with to refine the design and bring build the washrooms within our budget.
